Papoose-Conservation Wildlife Foundation was formed by a scientist
and is managed by scientists in an effort to attract conservation donation
dollars for the study of free-ranging wildlife in order to increase
our knowledge of the biology of diverse species in their wild environment.
Habitat preservation and protection of species is crucial for the long-term
viability of diverse species.
The Papoose-Conservation Wildlife Foundation recruits donations from
interested conservation minded businesses, organizations, foundations
and individuals. The conservation funds are then distributed via a granting
process to scientists for the study of wildlife and the protection of
species and habitat. Each fall scientists will have the opportunity
to submit grant proposals for funding of specific wildlife projects.
A panel of distinguished reviewers will critique each proposal and make
recommendations to the Board of Directors as to the funding priorities.
The Board of Directors will make the final decisions and award the grant
funds at year's end.
These founding scientists have spent decades-studying species in the
wild. They realize the importance of good science in this important
endeavor.
Once scientific projects begin to be funded, donors will have the opportunity
to visit the field sites where Papoose-Conservation Wildlife Foundation
monies are funding research. We will review the progress of each project
and the donors will have the opportunity to see conservation action
in progress.
